I just started flying electric planes. I like the fact there is no clean up involved. I have two expanded (hard) foam war birds. They are the GWS P-40 WarHawk and the FW-190. I have on both planes the Eflite 480 motor. These planes move right along with this motor. I have crashed the P-47 a couple of times and if you get all the foam from the crash all you have to do is glue it back together, unlike a balsa plane where the same crash would have caused the demise of the plane.
Although, I did crash my first (beer cooler) foam P-47 where it was un repairable. I hadn't used the supplied velcro to hold the battery in and when I went inverted it fell out. No power equals no control and it noised into the pavement at about 40 mph and became toast. Even ruined the Lipo battery. I bought another one but this time got the expanded foam. I like this type better. I had the bright idea to fly it in the L. A. Fitness parking lot on Christmas day when they were closed. It flew fine until I got the far end of the parking lot when there was some radio interference and I lost control of the plane and it noised into the pavement. The tail feathers came off and the motor mount broke along with the propeller and broke a big chunk of the nose off. 5 minute epoxy - I am back in business. Foamies are great for that.
I also have the GWS FW-190 expanded foam airplane with the EFlite Park 450 on it.

I also have a high end 3D plane I am putting together. It is the Precision Aerobatics Extra 260. It is a really nice plane with a lot of carbon fiber parts. I have everything I need for it but the Thrust 90 motor. It is really very light and feels like it will break really easy. We'll see. I got it at Atlanta Hobbies.
