It wasn't a pretty takeoff but it took off. After about three minutes it went dead stick. I landed it at the far end of the field - no damage - went up again - dead stick - perfect landing - third time landed after 3 minutes and found I was almost out of fuel. Even though fuel came out the muffler when I filled it, it wasn't really full. I fixed the hose in the fuel tank problem and should be fine now.

Went out to the field again intent on flying my Spit. The fuel tank issue was resolved. I started it up and a minute later it got real loud. Not a good sign. I cut it off and took off the cowl - always fun - and the muffler had fallen off. The screws are stripped. That never happened before. It was a wash for this day and the Spitfire. So I flew my SkyBolt and had fun with that.
