I fixed the landing gear and took it out to the field after work today for it's maiden flight. I also changed the receiver to a Futaba. I was a little apprehensive to fly after last Sunday's disaster but "No Guts No Glory".
The plane was flying real slow with no power and i thought I had the wrong prop on it but this was the same engine and prop that was in my Sportster and that is a screamer. At first the .46 AX was too lean and was running like a dog. Then it was too rich and running like a dog. Then I got it dialed and I was happy with the planes performance. This is a fun plane. Very stable. It flies at idle really well. I increased the airelon throw and it was a bit more aerobatic. I am going to use what I have high rates set at now for low rates and bumped the high rates up a little more. The snap roll I did was clumsy but more throw should fix that. When it stalls the nose just drops. This plane lands like my trainer. I like this plane.
